which are good for America. These are the people that President Bush
has to fight. He will only win with our help We
have to get these liberals out of congress to bring our country
back to the kind of country the Founding Fathers had in mind. We are
loosing too much freedom under these disgraceful people. They have no
honor and the only thing they are concerned with is power and staying
in office. Do you consider yourself a

loss of our men in all the wars that have
happened in the past was for nothing.

kind. We need to take our country

A student group asked to sing at a Red Cross
event in California was asked to drop the use of the words
"god" and "prayer" from its songs, reports the Orange
County Register. The troupe bowed out of the performance
instead.
The Orange County High School of the Arts
seventh- and eighth-graders planned to sing a medley of "America
the Beautiful," "Prayer of the Children" and "God
Bless the U.S.A" at a ceremony in honor of 9/11 rescue workers,
but group director Cherilyn Bacon was told the lyrics she chose might
offend some people attending the event.
Another song the students were to perform,
"Declaration" -- based on the Declaration of Independence --
was too political, Bacon said she was told
The Red Cross said the disagreement had nothing
to do with patriotism. "The dispute centers only on our
sensitivity to religious diversity and a preference for a music
program that would be inclusive and not offend different populations
participating in this event," it said in a statement.
Support the Boy
Scouts
Carrier Air-Conditioning Corporation has severed
funding the
Boy Scouts to the tune of $42,025.
A long time supporter of the Scouts, Carrier made the decision
because of the BSA policy of protecting boys from homosexual
leaders.
This decision will likely have a profound and lasting effect on
the boys in the five New York counties served by the Hiawatha
Council: Oswego, Lewis, Onondaga, Jefferson and St. Lawrence.
UNITED WAY STOPS DIRECT FUNDING
FOR BOY SCOUTS

DURHAM -- United Way officials voted Tuesday to cut funding
for a Boy Scouts council because it refused to guarantee it
would not discriminate against gay Scouts.
The Triangle United Way, which serves Durham, Orange and
Wake counties, decided to remove the Occoneechee Council of
Boy Scouts of America from its member agencies. The council
serves 21,000 boys in 12 counties.
The council, which has an annual budget of $2.4 million,
received about $448,000 from the United Way last year, 62
percent of it from the fund-raising agency's general fund.
