Grandma and Grandpa were very interesting people who live a very interesting life. Grandpa worked many different and varied jobs in his life time. In Oaklahoma Grandpa farmed. Back then, they had to depend on rain to irrigate the crops. In the early '30s the rain came and washed everything away. Grandpa went to the bank and got a loan to replant. That next year, the crop failed and the bank would not finance another loan. Grandpa and his partner Carol started another business. This business was interesting and somewhat illegal for the times ,1934. Grandpa made and transported illegal moonshine. He and my dad used to make delivers in a wagon drawn by horses. They were nearly caught by the revenue agents and shots were exchanged Grandpa was nearly hit by a bullet . The revenue agents came to the house looking for Grandpa. Grandma had the kids taking the jars full moonshine down to the creek to get rid of the evidence. When the revenue agents arrived Grandma told them that she didn't know where Grandpa was. They had to leave the state with the law looking for them. Later on in life he became a Christian and finally a Minister. Grandma and Grandpa finished their lives and went on to Heaven.
