My testimony,
I Grew up in a home where my Mom was a Christian. I gave her more than her share o grief but she never gave up on me. I know that my brother and I were in her prayers daily.
As my life went on, I had given my life to Christ only to go back to the world for a few more years. I lived outside Gods will for longer than he thought was prudent so he started giving me little reminders that I really belonged to him and he wanted me back.
I had noticed over the years that when I heard a song on the radio or maybe passed a church that I would get a feeling the I needed to come back to him.
One day I decided to go visit my Mother in the next town. While I was driving my car on the way to my Mother's house I noticed that the feeling was coming back that I needed to come home to God. I told God that I would come back but I didn't even know what church was the one that I needed to go to.
I think He gave me the thought in my head to see Jeff. Jeff is a fellow that I worked with at the garbage company we drove for. I didn't know Jeff well, but I did know that he was a Christian. I told God that I would be sure to go see Jeff next time I went to work.
I told my Mom what had happened to me. To say the least she was delighted. We visited for some time, but the feeling to "go find Jeff" kept getting stronger and stronger. Finally while Mom and I were visiting I got such a feeling like God was shaking me. Then the feeling that I had to "go find Jeff RIGHT NOW!" came over me. I told my Mom that I had to go find Jeff Right now. She said that I should do it right now if that's what God wanted.
I left her house and started to the garbage company back in our town (about 15 miles away). Just before I reached the freeway to start back to town I saw one of our trucks coming toward me. I looked up and the driver was Jeff. I turned around and followed him motioning him to stop. He pulled over and asked "what are you doing over here?". I told him that I was looking for him. He said that was impossible because he wasn't even supposed to be in this area until later that day. I told him what had transpired and he gave me all the details about the church. I gave my life over to Christ that week.
Things went on as normal. I joined a Bible study group and continued on with church.
One evening My Daughter called us at home. She was pregnant and was due to go in for a sonogram on Friday. However on Thursday she had the feeling she needed to go and have the baby checked. She stopped by the Doctor's off ice to see if they would see her on Thursday instead of Friday. They took her in and decided that the baby was in sever danger and would have to be delivered C section immediately. The baby had a matter of hours to live unless they took him now.
We all raced to the hospital to be with her. She went in for surgery and the baby was delivered C section. He weighed only 1 pound 11 ounces. It was touch and go and we were waiting in the waiting room for the prognosis from the doctor.
While waiting for the Doctor to tell us something My Wife Patty came in and told me that Cher (Jeff's Wife) was here. I told Patty that I thought it was very nice of them to come over to this town to see us. Patty told me that she wasn't visiting, that in fact she was the Head Nurse in the Maternity Ward. I was of course dumbfounded. I looked up and thanked God for what he had done. As it turned out, we were surrounded by Christian nurses.
Both Daughter and her Son are doing fine.
Sometimes you can't see what God is doing in your life until you look back and see what he as done already.
I will praise His name throughout all eternity.
